
DIY - Apple Cinnamon Christmas Muffins
Apple-cinnamon muffins with cream cheese topping
Tomorrow is the third Sunday of Advent again. How time flies. Unbelievable. We have the perfect recipe for a cozy Sunday afternoon with the family. It's super simple and super delicious. We promise!
This is what you need for 12 muffins:
For the dough:
- 1 apple
- 100 g sugar
- 125 g butter
- 250 g flour
- 7 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 baking powder packet
- 1 pinch of salt
- 125 ml milk
- 100 g chopped hazelnuts
For the topping:
Cream cheese, powdered sugar, pomegranate (amount to taste)
And here's how it works:
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, cinnamon & hazelnuts
- Add soft butter & milk and mix everything
- Peel apples and cut into bite-sized pieces
- Fold in apples
- Fill batter into muffin cups and bake at 170°C for 15-20 minutes
- For the topping, mix cream cheese with icing sugar and chill for at least 1 hour
- Top the cooled muffins with the cream cheese frosting and decorate with pomegranate seeds.
Ready. On your muffins, get set, go!
