Tomorrow is the third Sunday of Advent again. How time flies. Unbelievable. We have the perfect recipe for a cozy Sunday afternoon with the family. It's super simple and super delicious. We promise!

Enjoy the Christmas season with the apple cinnamon muffins according to mara mea recipe

This is what you need for 12 muffins:

For the dough:

  • 1 apple
  • 100 g sugar
  • 125 g butter
  • 250 g flour
  • 7 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 baking powder packet
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 125 ml milk
  • 100 g chopped hazelnuts

For the topping:

Cream cheese, powdered sugar, pomegranate (amount to taste)

And here's how it works:

  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, cinnamon & hazelnuts
  • Add soft butter & milk and mix everything
  • Peel apples and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Fold in apples
  • Fill batter into muffin cups and bake at 170°C for 15-20 minutes
  • For the topping, mix cream cheese with icing sugar and chill for at least 1 hour
  • Top the cooled muffins with the cream cheese frosting and decorate with pomegranate seeds.

Ready. On your muffins, get set, go!
