More time for moms - a short interview
Who are you?
My name is Cathrine Schorp, and I am the founder of liberi Munich. I am 31 years old and the mother of a 1.5-year-old daughter. I live with my husband and daughter in Nymphenburg, a very beautiful district of Munich.
What are you doing?
I have liberi Munich. Liberi offers (expectant) mothers a service that relieves stress, supports growing families, and makes work-life balance possible right from the start of pregnancy. We take care of the things that take up valuable time during pregnancy. Liberi handles the organization, advice, support, and guidance during pregnancy and beyond. Especially in the Bavarian capital, pregnant women and new parents face major challenges. Finding a midwife, choosing the right maternity clinic, finding a daycare place, questions about parental allowance – liberi finds the right service for every family. (Expectant) mothers can choose from a variety of services, and each receives the support they need.
What is your current passion project and how did it come about?
I first had the idea of becoming self-employed in 2011. It was a long road, but I always knew that I wanted to help and support children and families.
I've always been passionate about caring for children and supporting families. During my own pregnancy, I realized that pregnancy, especially in a big city like Munich, takes up a lot of time from day one. Through my own daughter, I experience every day what families need and how to make everyday family life easier.
You're a mom yourself and, as we later learned, the proud owner of one of our diaper bags. What's your favorite feature of our diaper bags, and why would you recommend us?
That's true, I actually spent about three months looking for the perfect diaper bag . Above all, I didn't want a colorful diaper bag - at least that was my first thought. The stroller is in dark blue, red, and white. Then, as I did more research, I realized that I didn't just want a bag for the baby, but also a bag that I liked. After a long search, I came across your diaper bag in dark blue - stardust . What was the deciding factor for me to order the bag: You can use it as a backpack. It's really practical when you're holding a baby or child in your arms to be able to simply strap the bag onto your back. I also think it's really good that you can remove all the little compartments that you need for your child, especially as a mother, with a zipper, so you can continue to use the bag optimally.
Dear Cathrine, thank you very much for your time and the short interview.
