Teresa from "Little Linas Journey" about her Natural Mum-Glow and traveling the world with kids
Teresa is a mother of two, a passionate editor, co-founder of the blogazine Mamarazzi , and a true natural beauty. On her Instagram account little.linas.journey , she takes us along on her colorful life as a mom…and on her travel adventures with the whole family. She recently shared her trip through Mexico in our mara mea Instagram Takeover. Now we want to know more about her special mom glow and how she manages traveling the world with two little girls.
Traveling alone with two small children always means having strong nerves. It is definitely very exhausting. Just checking in at the airport and going through security is a truly immense effort with a baby and a toddler. But the advantage: there are always nice people and helping hands everywhere. Of course, there are always those who roll their eyes and just stare at you whenever one of the children cries or screams, but they really do exist: people who offer their support. And you should accept it. Yes! That is probably my most important piece of advice: Be grateful for the lovely woman who looks after your daughter while you stow your hand luggage. Be grateful for the young man next to you who holds your baby while you have to use the restroom with the other one during the flight. And have the courage: ask and beg. Hardly anyone will say "no"!
Asia, Mexico...You've already taken a few long-distance trips as a family. What was your highlight?
You should definitely visit Tuscany in the fall and enjoy the "Dolce Vita." The scenery is dreamy and the temperatures are perfect. Plus, you'll escape the tourist crowds. Be sure to visit Florence, my hometown, and have an espresso at Bar Mario on Piazza Santa Croce.
But no—I don't have a single highlight. Because every trip, every country, was a particularly beautiful experience in its own right. The temples of Angkor in Cambodia, the cooking classes in Bangkok, the white beaches in Holbox, the delicious food in Tulum, the sunsets on Koh Lanta—every destination so far has been an absolute highlight.
What does a typical day look like for you (when you're not traveling around the world... ☺ )?
We sleep in pretty late. Yes, you heard right. My girls are long-legged friends. I'm very grateful for that. We start the day quite leisurely, have a hearty breakfast, play games, go shopping together, visit friends, and look forward to dinner with my husband.
In your photos, you always radiate so much joy and serenity – we love that natural mom glow. Besides your casual messy bun, what's your morning beauty routine?
To be honest, I do take care of my morning glow in the evening. I really enjoy taking care of my skin, both morning and night. In the evening, I usually use a very intensive night cream that contains a lot of moisture. In the morning, I cleanse my face and apply a light fluid. But yes. - I'm really lucky. I'm blessed with very good and radiant skin.
And which beauty product should be in your beach bag?
Sunscreen.
Can you tell us your next travel destination?
Miami and the Bahamas. However, we're currently renovating our house. And that will not only take up a lot of time, but also cost a lot of money. I hope we can go far away again next year.
Last but not least: Which mara mea companion can you absolutely not do without this summer and why?
Definitely my beloved ice ice baby backpack/bag. It's the perfect companion because it fits everything and offers plenty of space.
Thank you for the great interview. We look forward to many more wonderful mara mea moments with you and your family.
