The inspiration for mara mea's unique designs comes from travels to distant lands and the discovery of new cultures. Clean, functional cuts and graphic details from Europe combine with extravagant ethnic prints and embroidery from around the world to create the urban, trendy, yet timeless mix that characterizes mara mea.

For the Spring/Summer 2016 collection, mara mea primarily uses natural materials such as canvas and cotton. The combination of modern accent colors like fusion coral or raspberry and neutral tones like twilight blue lends the collection both a sense of style and longevity.

The team - the story

mara mea is made up of Dorina Hartmann and Maren Will, two imaginative designers from Berlin. Maren specializes in kids' fashion, and Dorina in women's wear. Together, they complement each other perfectly and founded the maternity label mara mea in early 2015.

Due to the lack of modern designs, many home-based mothers use conventional handbags or backpacks as diaper bags. So why not create a diaper bag with practical features in the design of a trendy accessory? And why use this bag only as a diaper bag when it can be easily converted?

This gave rise to the idea of ​​a product range that satisfies the needs of both mothers and women. The diaper bag can be worn as a shoulder bag, shopper bag, and backpack. It's a shopping companion, business bag, and diaper bag all in one. Complementary products such as nursing scarves and dresses can be worn both during and after breastfeeding and pregnancy.
