"I limit gift-giving to a minimum. I have an agreement with many people that we won't give each other anything. That may sound unromantic, but that way you don't have anything unnecessary lying around at home that you don't need anyway, and it saves you stress. For the people I still give gifts to, I usually give them a shared experience; you don't have to buy much for it, you just have to think about creative packaging.
